Exciting New Lead Generation Discoveries

It’s been a while since I last posted here as I’ve been locked away testing and refining new lead generation processes and helping my clients to become super successful with getting leads online.

Recently I have made some exciting new discoveries that I had to take a moment and share with you before the end of the year.

It has to do with generating exclusive cash value life insurance leads from websites with video.  Two big things have increased the amount of leads and decreased the cost of these leads in our testing.

1) Simplicity of the website – we’ve been testing multitudes of layouts and designs to find the right fit and discovered that plain & simple websites are by far the best.

2) Short and to the point videos – we’ve tested about 20 different video lengths and discovered that a 6 – 8 minute video is most effective.

These two discoveries have resulted in the cost of leads lowering to $35!

And we’re getting a high volume of these leads too – here’s proof:

The next exciting thing is that we are able to get appointments with 30% of these leads the same day by calling them immediately when the lead comes in.  These appointments are closing sales at an 80% rate with $4000 as the average commission.

The 14 leads pictured cost less than $500 and resulted in over $16,000 of 1st year commissions!!!

Consumer Confidence in Life Insurance Soaring

I just wanted to write a real quick post about an article I read on another site. The author talks about recent surveys that are showing soaring figures of consumer confidence in life insurance.

In particular as seeing life insurance as a viable option for financial planning purposes. People are tired of the Wall Street Casino and just want safe havens where they can grow their money guaranteed.

Now that the time is ripe to generate sales of permanent life insurance, the only question that needs to be answered is “how to get in front of high quality, targeted people”?

Life Insurance Marketing Has Changed Forever…

Today I felt compelled to write about the current state of insurance marketing in general, with an emphasis on life insurance marketing.

When I started in the insurance business (way back in 2003), things were still similar to how they were 20 – 30 years before my time.

All you needed to do to attract all the client you needed was:

1) Get a good location for you office

2) Set up a few centers of influence

3) Make some cold calls

4) Send a few mailers each month

5) Ask for referrals from the people you write

That formula allowed me to add over 300 households per year to my book from ’03-’06.

Fast forward to 2010 and those tried and true methods still work…to a certain degree.  But they simply will not give you the growth that you need to appease the higher ups or provide the income that you want.

What makes it even worse is that people are so much less loyal these days, the amount of time people stay with you shortens every year!

That’s a recipe for insurance agency disaster if I’ve ever seen one.

I speak with agents and advisors all over the country every day.  The overwhelming majority of them know that the answers to these problems are found on the internet.

But they are afraid…

Afraid that it’s too time consuming.

Afraid that it’s too expensive.

Afraid that it’s too complicated.

Afraid of compliance.

I understand this completely as I have walked in your shoes.  Nothing is scarier than the unknown!

Gen Y takes Prudential to school on life insurance

Prudential life insurance company recently did a huge study of people in generation y to figure out how to reach that demographic with life insurance marketing.

There are some extremely interesting statistics from this study along with marketing ideas that you can use right away to sell more life insurance in this market.  You can read the study and get the life insurance marketing ideas for yourself.

I will tell you that the primary mode that generation y prefers to have a life insurance conversation initiated and to become educated is via the internet.  So that means if you don’t have a marketing website, you are going to need one to target this demographic.
