Gen Y takes Prudential to school on life insurance

Prudential life insurance company recently did a huge study of people in generation y to figure out how to reach that demographic with life insurance marketing.

There are some extremely interesting statistics from this study along with marketing ideas that you can use right away to sell more life insurance in this market.  You can read the study and get the life insurance marketing ideas for yourself.

I will tell you that the primary mode that generation y prefers to have a life insurance conversation initiated and to become educated is via the internet.  So that means if you don’t have a marketing website, you are going to need one to target this demographic.

Life Insurance Awareness Month: in Your Mail Box and Your Inbox

My goal is to bring you guys and gals the very best life insurance marketing tips, tricks, and tools available.  Especially ones that can be automated!

I’m sure you know that September is Life Insurance Awareness month, but I doubt that you’ve done much with marketing it…at least effectively.  Well, I just read this blog post from a gal that is really doing a great job of getting the word out to her clients, and she gives some awesome ways that she is making sales off of it.  I encourage you to check it out  – Click here.

A Great Book You Must Read

Today I wanted to write a quick post about one of my absolute favorite marketing books, “Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion”.

Now this actually wasn’t intended to be a book for marketers, in fact, it was intended to help people to recognize the most effective things that sales people and marketers do that can influence a person’s decision to make a purchase.

The author is Dr. Robert Cialdini, the head of psychology at Arizona State University.  During 20 years of research Dr. Cialdini uncovered 6 foundational principals that are ingrained in people.  These principals can be activated to cause un-avoidable persuasion.

This book has literally changed everything that I do in marketing and sales.  What you can learn from this book is extremely powerful, and I highly recommend that you read it.

Perks Can Acquire Life Insurance Policy

The internet is becoming the go-to place for generating life insurance leads online.

I just read a blog entry that I wanted to use to you to show you how cruddy the content is that a lot of people are putting out there regarding life insurance and still grabbing leads off of it:

Let’s look at the post title – the same one I used for this post on my blog…what the heck is that supposed to mean?

And if you can actually make it through the garbage article, you’ll be scratching your head as to the point…

What I want to show you here is that you, the life insurance expert can easily do a better job of writing a short article that this!

Think about it, why do you go to the internet anyway?  Well, it’s to get content.  A great way to attract people to your site and then turn them into leads is to create good content that really helps them solve their problems.

He does a great job of explaining the important elements needed on your insurance marketing website to make sales and to optimize for search engine traffic.

I checked out his website to see what his services are and they would actually fit in nicely with one of my Agent’s Lead Machine websites.  Basically what he does is adding content to your site and getting it to rank for local search terms so you can get free traffic to your site.
